Betsy Lister was the only lay person to be a candidate for a seat on the Governor's
Highway Safety Bureau and has testified on
behalf of Massachusetts Motorcyclists before the Commissioner of Insurance
at the rate setting hearings, 2002, 2003 and 2004 and continues to fight
for fairness for motorcyclists' insurance and motorcyclists' rights.
Betsy E Lister was Past President of the Salem Street Business Association, which merged with the Medford Chamber of Commerce December of 2007.
Lister Insurance is conveniently located in central Medford at the corner or Spring St and Central Ave. The business was established in 1991 by its President Betsy E Lister.
The Agency is fully licensed and specializes in property casualty lines of coverage: Homeowners, Autos, Life, Liability, Workman's Compensation, Small Contractors and Artisans, Mom and Pop owned businesses.... specialty automobiles and Motorcycle Insurance.
Life, Disability, Health and Financial Planning lines of business are handled by Robert Cunningham. Please call the office and request his services.
Office hours are: Mon -Fri 8:30AM - 4:30PM. Evening and weekend hours are available by appointment.
Our auto personal carrier Plymouth Rock is based locally out of Boston and is equipped with its own fleet of Crashbusters vans and appraisers ready to come out and pay you on the spot for the damage to your vehicle.
The Agency prides itself in customer service; and is also a CARCO inspection site. We offer one-stop shopping to our clients; together with a same day Registry running service.
Other carriers include: Providence Mutual, Travelers/St. Paul Insurance, CNA Surety , Foremost , The Hartford, Mass Plate Glass, Zurich, Safety Insurance and Mass Property.
We welcome our three latest additions to our diversified list of Carriers; Marine Agency Corporation with their specialty market for Tattoo Parlors and Yoga Instructors and Estheticians; Grundy Insurance specializing in coverage for Vintage and Collectible Cars, and Philadelphia Insurance Companies with their specialty markets for Health Clubs and Small Business Contractors.
Hard to Place business is handled through Surplus Associations with H.T. Bailey Insurance Group, and Ct. Underwriters and Conexco Insurance Companies; Preferred Conpects for difficult to place umbrella policies, and we now sell GAP insurance.
